the limit is w/e you want. its not a ricer chip you find on ebay. read on on tuning with uberdata and crome. its fully tuneable software, similar to a standalone ems.

d112crzyatmsn.com is my paypal if you want to check me out. I got plenty of people on here that can back me up too.

o, replace the at with @. i did that for security purposes.

cool, glad my thread helped you on your decision. so far the motor itself is mostly stock. i just have the grounding condenser, intake, header and saving for an exhaust. after that ill look into a chipped P06 although the P39 is doing great so far. I raced my buddy with a stock non-turbo mr2 the other day and i pulled on him nicely hitting almost 7k in 2nd gear and no rev limit or fuel cut of kicked in. so my guess the for the cut of with the P39 ecu is 7k or somewhere past that

Yep 7 grand is the limit with P39 but this dude d112crzy told me he tunes a PO6 great so I might try him out with the ecu because I would love tto rev a lil bit more with this motor

reving high is sure fun but if you plan on doing it or find yourself doing it often you may want to look into some springs and retainers for the head.

what about the bottom end? Does anyone know how well it is balanced from the factory? the redline is supposed to be 6500 btw, but I find that my f22b is still pulling strong past 6500.

As far as I know F22A and F22B blocks are exactly the same.

the motors have different compression ratio's (f22a 8.8:1 - f22b 9.3:1), not sure if this is due to different pistons or the combustion chamber on the heads though.

                            its due to the pistons.

the head has the same combustion chamber as the f22a.(50cc or so)
