    h22 in a junkyard???

So, I am going with a few friends to a junkyard in a few weeks, with his truck, and trailer. I hope to get a black interior set for my car, but I was wondering..do ya think they have h22s chillin, in like the preludes and stuff? I think that would totally kick ass..especially if the junkyard owners knew nothing about their potential, and I got the motor for a few houndred bux...

go to the ones that are ghetto and dont know much... might hit a jackpot. Thats what I plan on doing soon.

Guessing h22.. no go, but some oem foglights or something like that could be found.

Yeah. chances are that someone would have already yanked it. If you get there on the day the lude was brought in, then, yeah... Still, all the yards I've seen had no preludes in em.

              Good Luck

              Just to re-iterate...

Chances are, you won't find a prelude motor in a junkyard anywhere, From what i understand, i majority of the junkyards in the country operate off of a database that allows them to interface with yards around the country. This being the case, the word is out on the H22's. Even if you rolled up on them at the same time a 'lude came in on a truck, they'd hit your pocekst up somethin awful for the motor, tranny, ecu, etc. These cats know what the demand is like for cetain motors, H22's included. But don't let that stop you. I just want you to have a realistic expectation of what you may or may not find. Good luck tho fam. If you find an H, keep that yard on the low and make good friends with them, this way you can get all of the exclusives for short dough (probably first dibs too, nahmean )

you guys are lucky. the junk yard in my town is ran by the most redneck family in town, the redd brothers. the junk yard is cars setting on top of each other, with beer bottles and liquor bottles busted everywhere, and no matter how dry it is, the place is constantly a mudpit! anytime you see a motor that is still in a car, it is like one solid ball of rust. seems like the only cars there are old domestic cars, and there isn't a usable piece to be found anywhere it seems. almost like they take every part they can out of a car when it comes in, and put it in a wharehouse somewhere ,and beat the shit out of the rest of the car and throw it on top of something else. and i dont think they have a phone either. when you go there you cant walk into the junkyard without talking to the guy first, and he WILL scream at you about something. will tell you something about, you can look over there for what you need, but stay the hell outta that part over there!! and shit like that. all of them have mullets and dirty mustaches. and are usually walking around with a shotgun. constantly watching you and shit, seeing if you're gonna steal a radiator or something. they do derby car shit all the time, and everyone has plotted to take them down at least once in their life. the trails me and my friends ride bikes at happen to be across a big field from their junkyard, and they have actually shot at us before.

anyone else rocking a local junkyard like that!

Well, there's a bunch of them in my town and yeah I have one of them that I avoid going to with a couple qualities of that one. Is that not the worst feeling in the world to be followed by a junkyard employee? Not only is it disturbing but sometimes you have to make conversation with him, which, by the way, is hard to do for someone on his level. Why do you think he has bottom position at a junkyard? But the one I regularly go to, has 13 CB7s and are constantly getting new ones in(after they remove the ones that I've raped) and get this, I'm in REAL good with them. My prices are dirt cheap, and every time I go there they give me a golf cart ride out to the Honda section. But anyways, there's always a chance that you can find anything at a junkyard, and for a decent price. Last year, I stumbled on a 2002 Honda S2000. The rarest color combo too: GrandPrix White on all red leather interior! It only had 167 miles on it. New front subframe, all new front body panels, and 4 wheels and tires would have put me on a pimp level even pimper than having the junkyard guy driving me around in the golf cart. They only wanted $6000 for it but when you don't have $6000, you just don't have it. I tried asking my parents for money but they weren't going to hear that I could fix a car that was cheaper to total than $35000. It's worth a shot, just keep your eyes peeled.

They will charge you a lot for it. There is a junk yard around here that sells h22's, but they cost like $2600. I'm glad I've never been to that junkyard you were talking about punkrockimport!

Before I was educated about JDM motors, I called a junkyard that had an h22 on hand. They wanted $5000!!
