Went for a run today... got me thinking (possible swap)

When i was jogging today i went by a v6 acura legend. the car looks almost identical to mine, with variations in the tailights, bumper, etc. what i was wondering if you could swap the v6 acura legend engine ( C32A ) it would give our accords the torque they need so bad. however this prolly would of been thought of already, just tossing it up.

    thanks

they sit completely different than the accord engine. is almost the same engine as the 5th gen V6 and they dont even fit in the 5th gen. there only 161 horse..not really worth it. the H23 gives 160 and that would be easier than an H22 swap

93 legends make 203 torque and 230 hp though, i guess its not fesible though. thanks for your help. one of those in an accord would rip so hard, yikes.

V6 in a CB7? Forget it. Not possible. In order for Honda to squeeze the C27A4 in the 5th gen for '95 they had to add something like 4 or 5 inches to the front of the car....and its still an extremely tight fit, and they are a BITCH to work on.

i think its possible for example the jetta came standard with a 4 banger also and they were able to sweeze a 6 in there of course it was tighter than a virgin's cat but they did it with no mods and still doing it in older jettas that had carbs.

The VR6 is a complete different beast then any Honda V6. If you ever see one with the head off you'd see what I mean.

mrhonda knows what he's talking about. im pretty sure even if you could do it, it would be nigh impossible to work on.

Well, I think that's all of us... Lemme check though... anybody else out there want to put that engine in our cars? No? Okay, I'd still REALLY like to do one of the J series engines from the 98+ Accords and Odysseys, MDX's, Pilots, TLs, CLs... Mmm... 200Ft/Lbs of Torque, 240 HP and a 6 Speed manual transmission... Oh, yeah....

how about like a k24, with a k20 head? True, it's only like 186 hp, but put the right parts on or in her, and you will raise it to like 261 hp!

Major work since the orientation is opposite the stock setup; timing belt is on the passenger side and tranny on the drivers side.

You can do anything you want if you have the cash. I'm just saying that there is absolutely NO way you can squeeze any Honda V6 into a CB7 without extensive modifications like moving the firewall back a few inches or so. If it was possible, my car would already have a J35A4 in it.

a v6 would definetly be much more work though... we will see k20's in accords in the future
