Idle is less than 500 rpm why?

I finally got my car to working and what we did is put a 93 accord f22a6 engine & auto tranny on my 91 and we had to use the internal dizzy from the 91 into the 93 and we changed the sparkplugs new filter. the idle runs low like its gonna die but it doesnt. what is the common cause of this. and also I notice when I press the brake the rpm goes back to normal. and I also hear a click noise on on the passenger side engine bay when I try to start the car. and another symtom is when I press the brake and turn the ignition key it just turns over and when I let go of brake it starts.???By the way this car is an automatic.

mines idles at 450-500 rpm, but most likely you have a wiring problem. does the click, click constantly or once in a while?

only when you step on the brake sounds like the caliper is loose.

Do you have any CEL codes? Does your speedometer work? When I replaced my Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS), my idle went from ~500 to the standard ~750.

                    Good luck!

Caliper is loose.....Does your car idle at 500 with ac on? If it idles 500 normally I guarantee when you turn on AC they revs are gonna drop and possibly stall out your car. As mentioned check vacuum it can do some wierd ass things and screw around with your head. Have you checked the wiring for the starting problem.
