    noob doin a H22a swap into cb7

    Alright... I have a 2-door 1990 accord EX
    its a 5 speed.... so i dont have to a do a tranny changeover...but..
im savin up all my cash for a H22a swap...

im considering hmotorsonline.com to get the motor and "complete changeover" because i have a torn cv boot on the right passenegr side and would need an axle job anyway...and all the other excess parts theyd give me im sure would make the swap go smoother....

i guess my question is...i have little to no experience under the hood of a car but have a few friends who know their way around an engine. tools are limited...so is knowledge....should i attempt this swap myself (what would i need??) or what am i looking at for a mechanic installation and would they do it rightt? or screw me overr in the longrun....and also whats an estimated price tag....

also once i get the motor...what do i need to get besides well obviously i wanna get a performance clutch kit...but what else would i need to get to ensure reliability from the motor and ease of installation....(ie: water pump, oil pump, fuel filter, oil pan gasket, etc...)

would i want to get a JDM or USDM motor...what is the difference BESIDES the horsepower and torque.....

and is the LSD tranny really worth the additional $300?? i know what an LSD tranny is and does....but would it REALLY be worth it in the long run....

I also dont plan on doing much to the H22a once its in besides well intake and a header and maybe underdrive pulleys but thats it....so keep that in mind.....so if anyone could just kinda throw some general knowledge about the swap or even some more complicated info at me....and also throw price tags at me....

any information would be greatly appreciated.....thanks a lot guys

You can't necessarily use the axles that come with the complete change over since they're not from an Accord. Just head down to autozone and get a rebuilt axle for like $60. You really don't need the complete change over since you can't use the stuff it comes with anyway; mounts, axles, shifter since you have all that stuff.

I will give hmotors a recommendation tho. Steve puts on a good show over there.

I can vouch for hmotorsonline.com. I just bought my swap for 1950 shipped. That includes the full swap plus Auto LSD tranny. Steve is a great guy. Fuck, i never thought id give in and buy a H22. Oh well.

if you do this swap, at least try to have knowledgeable people around. ive never done a swap, so i feel ya on the being iffy about trying it. but i trust that it really wouldn't be deathly. im lucky tho, as i have a friend that lives about 2 blocks away from my moms house that runs a garage. so when i do stuff in the garage at my moms house and i need help i ride my bike to his house and ask advice
          92 lx
          automatic
          slow

Yup. 250 for shipping. the package was only 1700. tranny was 300, block was 1200 and the ecu was 200.
