    h22 issues

    quick update

    so i had the guys that did my swap fix the engine and it drives A LOT smoother and all that good stuff but im still having VTEC problems like itll engage stage 1 vtec at 4500 and then it still bogs at 5 then itll go to 7500 but check engine light will turn on but when im passed 5000 vtec isnt cracking and i have these options to choose from to be the PROBLEM

    ps we checked the vtec solenoid and it turns off and on when you apply a battery current to it so it DOES work

    1. NOT enough oil pressure so VTEC isnt able to open up ALL THE WAY or i need new oil pressure gauge, new oil pump

    2. ECU is FUCKED and need a P13

    MAYBES,

    NEEDS-
    new enjectors
    new o rings

    ANY feedback would be great

    You check your TPS? If its just bogging in that small area then that could be your problem.

      what are you talking about stage 1 and so on?

      to determine if you have enough pressure you need to test oil pressure at the head, and you shoujld see at least 54 psi around 4500-5000rpm.

      and if the check engine light is coming on.....fix it! that could be your problem right there.

      also why do you need new injectors? if they are NOT prelude injectors what are you doing trying to engage vtec without enough fuel?

        yes make sure you are running prelude injectors. as stated check your TPS for the correct voltage. lastly make sure your knock sensor is wired correctly if you are running a P13. i've read of people having the same problem with that.

        there is no stages on vtec. it's either on or off. what you hear maybe sounding like a stage of vtec are probably the secondaries in the intake manifold opening after 4000rpms.
