    Swap finished..ran into a prob!

    Well we finished my jdm f22b swap so when I get in the car to start it,it trys to turn over but the fuel pump isn't coming on.Were going to pull it out and test it...my question is if I need to replace it should I go back stock or upgrade??...I'm just running a stock motor with i/h/e pulleys and chipped p06 soon

    Is it your main relay or is it your fuel pump? If it is your pump just replace with OEM.

      I'm not sure yet I'm going to get test everything out this weekend...cause it got dark on us..I hope its the relay...the car has been sitting up for over a year if that helps any.

        Depends on your future plans. If youre gonna keep it faily stock, keep the OEM, but ive youre planning on FI, then go aftermarket.

          Well I plan to boost in the future so if I upgrade will it kill my gas milage even tho I have a second car I plan on driving it on a regular basis.

            Not from what i've seen it wont. All it will do is allow it to put out more fuel when it needs to.

              Well we tested the main relay it was fine so we started to pull off the fuel pump..I think it just vapor locked cause it been sitting up for so long were going to pull the tank and clean it out and jump start the pump..lol.Maybe I won't have to buy a pump yet.

                    Yea the ecu should still be ground were its should go but ima double check it thanks...I'm almost positive it the fuel pump cause the car set up for over a year not running.

                      Problem solved my friend never took off the main relay he just said he did...so I got to get another relay...have another question the egr valve I got the back bolt off but I can't get the front bolt off it pissing me off!!!

                        egr bolts are a bitch, ive never taken one off because all the nuts were just stripping on me.

                          Well he's my best friend but he should have said something I pulled the whole fuckin gas tank and fuel pump...but its aiight......BUMP I need some tips on getting the front bolt off my egr valve cause its stripped now..

                            you really need to soak the crap out of it with penetrating lube and use a tight fitting tool. i used a 13mm socket since i stripped it to where it was almost round! i pounded the 13mm on there and turned it quickly. once it came off i threw it against the wall, POS! worse case you have to grind it out .

                              ok I got the relay so we get in the car to start the car up and car still won't start...I look down at the ecu and its trowing a code 15 so I use the ignitor switch from my a6 motor....anybody know how my motor will run on the stock f22a4 ecu....some guy from a motor place said that my car was going to get like 5 miles to the gallon and run like crap..
