why would someone pay that? You use your damn accord harness, i didnt even take mine out, left it in the car and when the motor was in a stretched some wires. added 2 wires because i am using a p28. cost me like 40cents.

I dont understand why people make this such a big deal. Its not hard. Its harder to install an amp than to run your vtec wires.

I wanna see someone do an indepth DIY on how to make all the wiring. That would be cool. Some people have touched on it here, but we need more depth to it. I know it's in the swap manual or something like that. But gratis is the way to go!

All you need is the male side of the plug that goes into the each sensor, solder a wire into each plug, run the wires back to the ecu solder in a pin to eeach wire and put them in the harness plug.

Yep not that hard. Rywire has all this obd-obd2 conversions and crap like that and they charge way too much for it IMO. When you can just go out buy you a 4 different colors from like o reillys or something and do the wiring yourself it really isnt that hard. If you need to pay someone for the harness you must love to waste money or lazy no offense. Might not know a lot about wiring but looking through the complete faq ( I mean reading through all the pinouts, and all the instructions on how to put a wire in the plugs ) You should be able to do it yourself.

basically if you cannot connect one plug to a wire, then the wire to a pin and slide it into the ecu....well to me it would be scary that you are working on a car if you cannot do that.

I found this on the net and I liked it, I have never tryed playing with wires because i just really dont like the idea but this site made it seem simple. I put it on in the hopes that other people who dont want to play with the wires would look into it. So far all I have really hread from is people saying why do that and not just re-wire it yourself. I also to put it on to see what people thougth of it. Not one person as said yeah I like the idea but I would rather do it myself. Is it really that bad of an idea to just plug and play?

this would help out those who do not have the extra connectors off the motor for the swap. the price is very steep for the product but it is helpful. shoot i'll make them for $40 with the IAB/knock included!

check out my swap journal (link in sig, page 3) for a pic of my harness. it looks somewhat similar too!

I think the intimidating part is not knowing exactly where which pins go. I know it was a little confusing for me at first as I never had done much electrical wiring. I think I started at least 3 threads on here concerning the wiring just to make sure I was doing it right and to make sure I was running the right plugs to the right pins. Hell I didn't even know the locations of any of the plugs and most of the diagrams for them are a little too generic to help much if you've never dealt with it before.

But like I was saying it wasn't hard, just intimidating. Here are pics of how I ran my VTEC wires. The first pic is of the male and female OEM plugs I hacked off of the H22 engine harness. Second is extra wires to the plug incase I ever need to run anything else. And the third is of the rest of the subharness which runs under the intake manifold to the IABS.

i know what you mean meng, i myself, might have spent that 55 bucks just for some else to do it for me.

it would look way more professional than a hack job solder.

heres my opinion, its a waste of time . just a had 3 wires through the firewall. use wireloom to hide the wires and your good.

I guess youve never done any electrical work? you cover it up with plastic loom like they do, looks professional.
