Long Block Question

Was just wandering what everyone's opinon/choice was on long block h22s..like who went the long block, who doesnt like it, pros and cons, etc.

long blocks the same thing...its just the block, nothing more...nothing less....no ecu, transmission...nothing. so unless you have everything...I would go with a complete swap.

well, i can use whatever's on the f22 but i just want the engine shipped to the shop and have them drop it in..plain and simple..i dont want any extra surprises, parts or "fees" added later..

Well you will obviously need the ECU and the long block. As for the trans you should be able to use your f22aX trans just the gearing is slightly longer.

thats what i meant..everything needed will either already be on my cb or come with the h22..the ecu i can get later or maybe even have them do it, i dunno..as for the tranny its AT so gears dont matter, and even if they do, i like the longer gears

Then you will need a lude TCU if not a lude trans. Since if you use the f22ax auto trans tcu it will shift at its preset point so you will be shifting around 6800 max.

ok so say i get the ecu...then what? its an AT..i have limited to no control over the gear ratios...

you should just try to go for a AT full swap...they are ALOT cheaper than manual full swaps...since not many people are really gonna buy those.

but the h22 tranny, even the AT has a limiter on it...

if you do decide to get a full auto h22 swap. get the mp1a tranny its the one with lsd. just make sure tho. there pretty cheap when they come with auto trannies.. n just remember to get the tcu and ecu also

will do! i checked into HMO and for the complete swap i dont think it said whether or not it came with the mp1a tranny, the tcu or the ecu..i may have to actually call them and find out. what ecu is that? pt6, p13, p08? Any chance of anybody knowing a site that sells the mp1a, tcu and ecu with the complete swap..?

my friend got his jdm h22a and lsd auto tranny from them.. $1890.00 shipped to my garage! came with everything.. except downpipe since i forgot to mention that...

motor was great and clean!

Thanks! now aside from one being lsd and the other non-lsd, why couldnt i go with the m2a4? is there something i'm missing?
