    best pistons for h22?

ok so i have a couple of questions...i took my car to a local shop cause i was hearing some noise from the transmission and was having trouble shifting...the guy told me that the transmission was fine but he thought that the balance shaft was out of line...if the balance shaft is out of line would this hurt any other internal components? i.e. rods or pistons? i already have a set of eagle h beam rods and an extra crank...so my next question is what in everybody's opinion are the best pistons for the the h22? ive heard that mahle pistons are some of the best but then i heard that they arent that good...i just want some other suggestions...

are you planning on sleeving the block if not you xcan get the type s pistions but you have to get 97 and up rods to use them,

if you use mahle pistons u dont have to sleeve the block and i have heard great things about them.....it all depends on what you are aiming for out of your block...type s pistons are great to...any other aftermarket piston you will have to sleeve the block..

What was the noise like and how was it hard to shift? You check your CMC fluid level?

it was a grinding noise...that is why i thought it was just the transmission...also my car wouldnt rev above 3500 rpm without sounding like it was going to blow...the CMC had fluid...the guy at the shop said that the balancing shaft was out of line...has anyone ever heard of the balancing shaft being out of line?

nope and unless he tore it down how could he know it was out of line? unless perhaps he means its timed wrong, and the easy way to deal with that is remove the balance shaft belt and if things are fine then you are good to go.
