the f20 is garbage compared to the h22 the shit has no torque get a basemodel, And its destroked thats no good especially when trying to get your car to haul ass out the hole. The hell with all that rev up as high as you can just give me power and give me torque for my revs and im good.

There is info on both engines buried here somewhere.
f20b = - spins up fast - revs higher - expencive - different
h22 = - cheap... ish.. - lots out there - easy swap - not so different, run of the mill these days.

F22 Turbo is better alternative. Cheaper, and if done PROPERLY, faster, and reliable. Say no to vtec

yeah...BUT...it has LESS trq than the H22A...

F20B and the H22A are IDENTICAL.... just have a difference of .2 displacement...

this has been argued before...and its already been settled!!

from the HIGHER up techs....those engines are IDENTICAL...

that F20B was made by honda to qualify in the 2.0L class in some kind of race stated before in earlier threads!

dunno...don't remember...but those engines are IDENTICAL...I think that F20B came in the Accord SiR...don't quote me.....im just taking a wild guess...

being that that motor NEVER made it here in the states...just like the F20A DOHC....or the F22B DOHC...

F22B DOHC ...same as H23A

F20B DOHC ...same as H22A

maybe someone else that has more knowledge can collab on what Im trying to explain here!


you would want to have HP...BUT having trq helps you in the lower RPM range....higher HP....helps in the topend!

thats like having a F20A DOHC w/ ITBs...RARE!!!

you sure??? you sure its not IDENTICAL?? as in how it looks? ....have you ever seen a H22A and a F20B side by side???..in person???....I have..


and they look IDENTICAL.......BUT...im not gonna go into debate...YES..they may have similarities...and differences...but the only thing I can come up with is...

its probably only different because of the .2 offset in liters..

F20B 2.0L

maybe the head is ported differently...but on the outside ...they look IDENTICAL

not including the blue VC ( F20B ) and the black VC ( H22A )
