Here's a list of things i did to my H22. Did i miss anything? Its almost ready to go in....
- Cleaned all dirt off engine and removed carbon from inside the exaust ports. (anyone else clean their exaust ports before they put headers on? Mine had some buildup)
- Replaced timing belt, balancer belt, tensioner, hydrolic tensioner, used brake cleaner to clean that area prior.
- replaced cam seals
- adjusted valves
- replaced thermostat
- cleaned injectors
- new cap / rotor / iridium plugs
- new oil seal / filter / cleaned oil pan
- new alt belt / ps belt
- new valve cover seal kit
- new headers
- new clutch / flex plate / flywheel
- aem fuel rail
Some friends were telling me that the engine might run like crap the first time starting up until the ecu properly adjusted everything.
Is there a way to clean the cylinder walls / combustion chamber without taking the head off?
also the exaust valves seem to have a little grime on them that i couldnt get to. anything to be concerned about?
