    Need advice...

I just blew my F22 in my accord recently and I have come down to two options.

    1. Buy a new car
    2. Go for the H22 swap

Now I really don't want to buy a new car. I love my CB7. How reliable would it be to get an engine from here? Or if there is a better place than there to buy them from. My dads telling me that it would be a waste of money to do this and that I should buy a new car. What do you guys think?

Yep Hmotorsonline and do the swap yourself if you have the tools. Saves money in the long run and replace EVERYTHING. SEals, Timing, and all well thats what I recommend to prevent future problems.

so you guys think getting the swap is a better bet than getting a new car?

honestly there are pros and cons to both sides of that - and by "new car" im assuming you mean something obdII and more recent and not something the same age as the CB7 but its "new" to you...

        NEW ENGINE SWAP:
        pros:
lower mileage, cheaper than a new car - great experience ont he work side of things - you get to learn your car and keep a chassis youre familiar and comfortable with

cons: if youre not so mechanically inclined, this could get pricey - PLUS if something goes wrong with the new engine you can't fix - its hard to find specialists in what you need if you had to go to a legit shop, and of course you can always get a bum engine... ...also there's always the off chance of say, your cb7 getting wrecked and so youre stuck having to sell an engine that's otherwise useless

        NEW(ER) CAR:
        pros:
warranties, warranties, warranties - and new means fixable in most cases of accidents/ collisions - plus buying new cars is fun and they are generally more reliable in a maintenance sense because they're newer - which is usually less mileage and less owners you know nothing about

cons: sometimes harder to work on if you're the DIY type - and a new car means a car payment, most often, and your insurance will rise a little due to the cost of the newer car (not by that much though, esp. if you already carry collision coverage on your cb7, so don't freak out too bad ;-)

so yeah. theres good and bad to both sides - and if you do go for the swap - make sure to TAKE PICS AND SAVE RECEIPTS in case insurance ever becomes an issue as far as refunding your money - fyi - an engine swap in a total loss is usually counted as a "rebuild" and you may only get 25% of what you paid - of course there are exceptions and special cases, but receipts are most important to get the most money you can in ANY situation

        good luck

thanks for the great analysis. yeah i was thinking the same thing about payments and such. I HATE payments, and at the moment would prolly consume most of my paycheck. And by new car, yes I do me just a different car. Prolly a car worth around 4000 or so. So it is gonna be another car needing maintaince and such. As of now I am set on the swap. Maybe in a little while that will change, who knows.

The H-22 is a move you will not regret, it really does transform the CB7.

Good, were about to have another H22 CB7 rolla up in here!
Nice decision, and if you learn to maintain that H better than your F you will love your car more, and probably keep it for a long time.
Good Luck with your Accord MKII.
