    F22 cb7 vs F22 s2k ?

What's the deal with the s2k f22 ? First thing i though was swap but i know it spins the wrong way. Do you think the s2k f22 parts are interchangable with the f22aX ? in the cb7's. I need to find someone with the f22 s2k and take a closer look at it. Im kinda wondering if the bottom end's are alike. Would be a dream come true If the blocks are the same and just do a head swap on that bad boy. Time for more research.

F20C was the 1st gen. 2nd Gen was F22C since the displacement went up to 2.2L. Engines are completely different as covered.

Could someone explain to me what is up with Honda's Engine Codes? I mean, why give it the F22 designation? I just don't understand the decision making process of why they would name it that? Isn't it VTEC? WHy not give it its own designation or make it a K Series Designation? I'm not a car noob, just a Honda Engine Designator Noob.

They're not entirely different. An F20C or F22C both have 55mm mains and the same main width as the 98+ H-series blocks so any 55mm main H crank can be used. I forgot what S2000 it was but it was in some Aussie magazine where there was an S2000 running a JUN H23 stroker in the F20C.

True some parts are useable in the H but he was asking for the transfer of parts into the F22a motors.

                        S2k F22C is built more like a K20 than an F series...

the engines (K20 and F20/22C) resemble each other in many areas.

do a f22c swap / rwd conversion that would be a killer

i don't think that's ever been done before

the f20c and f22c spin in the opposite direction as the f22a in the cb7 as discused in another thread.

No they would not be able to swap into the F22A because of our 50mm mains.
