You need to learn to type some proper english first. Reading this slang is getting annoying which makes it even less believable you are going to do the swap. I am going to call bullshit until you show how your going to mount everything even though you have the engine and tranny. Anybody can say ooo I bought an s2k motor now im going to go drop it in a (put your car here). So much modification is needed for this swap so far all everyone has seen is all talk...so post up pictures and how you plan to do this swap and maybe people might start believing you.

heh, i remember when some guy came on 3geez saying he was going to do the same exact thing, except in an 86 accord. but he got farther than this guy has so far. he got measurements drawn up and was working with another guy and they were using some 3d modeling program to figure things out. peer over his progress in this thread: http://www.3geez.com/forum/showthrea...&highlight=rwd

I would never have purchased a car from you.... how can you write up a document if you can't even type a sentence on a web board that is at least CLOSE to readable.

No one is perfect, and I'm sure you'll find a lot of typos or incorrect grammar in a lot of my post.... but there is no slang like "sum1" or "I no"

I really wouldn't bother pointing out that someone uses slang or doesn't speak proper english. Especially, when they are aware of it and while you too are guilty of slang use. The picture thing was pretty much established, he negated that motion when he said, someone will say "he cropped the pictures". I will not bash him really until he gives me a great reason to be bashed. Until then, I won't even wave the BS flag. Anything is possible once you have the knowledge and the skill.

this isnt buying an engine for a car that it will drop in. this isnt even fitting a motor into a car that's uncommon or rare. when you are the FIRST ONE to trek into a new direction there will be unexpected and costly issues related with fitment and custom work and parts. im naturally a skeptic with something of this caliber.

someone who said this would cost as much as an actual s2k is probally not far off, but obviously if you acually put it together and make it move the sponsors would most likely want a part in it. (it wouldnt take much to get some of the custom parts you need if you had a running working rwd s2k cb7) but in order to GET IT running theres gonna be some sacrifice on your part, not just money, not just time, but also facilitating this whole project.

at this point its hard to tell where its gonna go. nonetheless good luck!!

Do you know what is sad, when I am done some of you will comend, others will still try and find things just because they can't accept the fact that it was not them that was able to do it. As for my english i do enough professional writting and typing via my profession as an Insurance aganet. I like to call it a break from professionalism. So, to whom it may concern f**k what ya'll think, and to those of the supportive type thankyou. Hell, and to those who just looked and didn't respond thankyou at least you didn't waste your time saying pointless junk.

No shit. However its been done plenty of times before. A Legend 3.2 in a Civic hatch RWD, A DSM in a Civic Hatch, A NSX Mid-engined Integra and the list goes on. There are plenty of usless swaps floating around in all kinds of cars. So because someone wants to do something to a CB7 people must wave the BS flag??? On the contrary, tdarkside is spending too much time arguing with you guys. If I were to propose a sick swap and get these responses, a big old bowl of STFU will follow with a bunch of pictures and hell even a sound clip. If people still hate, I'd laugh my ass off. Haters are never to be taken seriously.

And I can't see why this will cost as much as an S2k. S2k's start at 34,050, quoted straight off the Honda site. Ultra clean CB7's are like 5,000 max. Thats 29,050 left to play with (guesstimating). Anyone who wants to attempt something like this must know a great deal of custom fabrication...so in raw parts...how does he blow 29,050???

the way i see it is..the more we tell him its not going to happen, the more he will want to prove us wrong and actually do it.

A used S2K starts around 17K...the motor+tranny cost 4K, so that leaves 13K for figuring stuff out, getting a rear diff, getting custom axles, and getting the labor done.

I want to see this happen as badly as anyone else...hell, I can't wait to be proven wrong...but when it comes to swaps like this all logic gets thrown out the window. And unless I'm mistaken, nobody here has taken on any project like this. Start it up, post progress, and we'll encourage you...

thats what i was talking about. he bought a "used" s2000 engine and as such the price for a used 2001 s2k would be around 20g's (estimate). I don't think there's one person on this site that dosent wanna see this happen. with that said people here are grounded in reality knowing there isnt a huge chance of this acually happening. You would be the envy of the cb7 tuner community but to me it seems like there are huge gaps in your planning. You are gonna need to the proficiency of certain experts unless you have (which is dosent seem like you do) experience in various areas such as custom fabrication, custom axles and honda specific wiring.

Right. The fact that he came in and asked whether anyone knew of a shop who could do a job like this + the fact that he thinks he can spend less than S2000 money PAYING SOMEONE ELSE to to it raised a "never gonna happen" flag for me. Hell, I bet with all the necessary equipment it would come close to S2K money if he did it himself...

This is the kind of thing you either do entirely on your own, or have stupid crazy money to throw at a shop to do...there's no in between....

I just cant get why I am the only one who can see this getting done. Then again, it depends on his tools and his knowledge. If I ever lost my mind and wanted to do this, I am too sure I can do the whole swap for under 12gs. As for driving a family around in that...lets get a bit realistic here. Space will be compromised greatly.
