a Mid Engine H22 RWD setup would be a LOT easier and a LOT cheaper.....and you still get RWD There is a Mid engine RWD Del Sol and integra on hondatech! Too lazy to look for threads :P

cheaper, i'll go for that, and while it may be easier to the outside observer, someone who really wants a unique swap and rwd and good weight distribution really isn't going to care how much work goes into it once he decides to truly go for it

weight distribution would be better in a mid engine CB7...then a RWD Front Engine CB7

problem with a RWD front engine is you gotta run the driveshaft soemwhere....which in a CB7 would be through the interior....

I would go with a mid engine, plus when you pop your trunk you are sure to surprise a lot of people

Don't really give a crap about this project, my only comment is about all the V8 Focus references. The focus is a world car, that means it's the same all around the world. In europe it is available in AWD. that's a huge advantage for a RWD conversion.

weren't CB7s available in AWD in Japan? I read this somewhere awhile ago im sure

He even said he had a F20C already in his possesion. I love people who already have the engine but bitch out on the project.

You might be thinking of All Wheel Steering, were all 4 wheels steer, we got AWS preludes here in the U.S.

U.K.Accord has an AWS CB7, pretty nifty shit.I wish i could take one apart and see what that system is like.Always wondered if i could convert my accord to that.

that's where you gotta start thinkin outside the box...
its not necessary to have a huge tunnel.

you could get a solid mount driveshaft (think spinning tube within another tube hard mounted to the body) and use an independent rear suspension of an old supra or corvette or something. there ya go, you dont need to make a tunnel large enough to account for a moving driveshaft!
