    F22 auto to f22 with h22auto

So here's my question and the search button was used. I know the f22 and h22 trannies are virtually swapable with little effort, but what I find is that the common is throwing the h22 manual for the gear ratio. I'll be turboing the wagon and want to retain the automatic, I know the f22 auto is a pile of shit slushbox, yet the h22 auto can hold under quite a load of power, I'm only looking to go to 200 horse. Here's the real question has anyone put the h22 automatic to the f22? And if someone has what issues did you run into? If no one has than I suppose I'll be doing a DIY when I do this in Spring. Lastly who's got a H22 Automatic and TCM for sell

i dont think so. I'm sure its the same ish as doing a regular h22 swap(but only with the h22 tranny)
ive never thought about this tho, sounds like a good idea for a replacement for the f22 slushbox.

        *edit*

I just realized what juan said. And he's right. its not such a good idea. With the h22 tcu, its not gona change gears until it reaches certain rpms, which those rpms the f22 engine has never seen. so yea, you're gona run into some issues with that.

Alright so more than likely I will have to mate the h22 tranny with the f22 tranny wiring. This should actually be a rather simple process for me, still wanting to know if anyone has done this or put enough thought to it to really write this out.

HAHA yeah it made me laugh. Yeah you can just swap in an h22 but you could also do an h23 and find it cheaper. Just a thought. You might also have tap those holes on the tranny, or i think you can use the lude tranny mount and no tapping needed.

Excellent phat excellent, so the lude rear tranny mount or tap the hole. Excellent, looking forward to meeting you peeps on the 11th.

Now the rest of the question anyone got a spare h22 or h23 auto sitting around?

thinking of changing to a manual just have to come up with the cash.

Well logically it would have to be, if you think about it, the f22 tranny was built to withstand 145hp 137tq the h22 tranny withstands 180+ (being conservative)

If someone knows this would work and what would be needed besides the actually tranny or as done this please shed some light on whats needed for parts and all the labor. Would love to have a transmission and not have to worry about it dying.

Its not the rear moutn, its just the "tranny mount" tranny only has 1 mount.

Good luck. If you have good success and its not too hard I might be giving it a shot later in the summer. Keep us posted on how its going.
