It's a VTEC engine, and no, I don't think so... It's much more like the H22A than anything else. It has quite abit of HP, but low torque numbers... Good engine, though a little pricey.

LoL what are you talking about? The F20B is a full blown OBD2 H22A period. It's just detroked to make it a 2.0L.

agreed...oneoffaccord your thinking of the f22b. I thought for sure the f20b had 220 hp because of the high compression ratio? I thought it was 11:1?

It is 11:1 and it's 200hp for the 5-Speed version. The Auto has 180Hp along with a smaller TB and intake manifold to help it build torque lower in the RPM band since it's auto. Down side is it loses peak hp to pick up the torque.

the f20b is not quite just a destroked h22

the block casting is very similar. anything that bolts to the block is interchangeable with h22 stuff.

it has a 85mm bore and an 88mm stroke
the sleeves are NOT frm junk like h22's
it has 55mm main crank journals like a h22a4
it has the smaller rod journals, same size as b16
it has the big 23mm floating wrist pin like h22a4
the timing belt is an h22 belt, as are the cam gears

the head is NOT and h22 head. the intake port has less taper to it, the valves are slightly smaller and it appears that there has been some finishing work done from the factory.

the AUTO cams are slightly smaller than Type S cams, but bigger than regular jdm h22 cams

the lower portion of the intake manifold is the same as h22

                        the header is the same

they use some really funny looking injectors.. not sure what they are, i need to send mine off to have them flow tested.

keep in mind that if you buy and f20b swap it will probably not come with power steering, the accord sir's had electric power steering.

Jason <~~ whos f20b is at RLZ being built into a 250hp beast.
