auto vs manuel h22 hp question

i keep seeing the h22 auto only has 180hp vs the h22 manuel that has 190-200 hp

is this bullshit? Im wondering if its rated at less power because the automatic transmissions power losses?

getting ready to put a jdm h22 in my accord. I want to buy the right motor, and the 20hp weaker motor is definately not the RIGHT motor!!

    auto looses about 10 hp.....

    jdm h22- 200hp
    usdm h22- 190

How do you lose power because of a transmission?

If i am not mistaking, there is not an auto usdm h22a. Maybe a h22a4 us 97-01 lude's. The jdm h22a's vs usdm h22a1 & h22a4's have a 10 hp difference because of the compression used. 10:6 vs 10:1. Difference in auto to manual is usually the tb size. The other loss is in the drivetrain itself.

                  auto should have never existed.

Lol. actually the auto isn't as bad as everyone makes it to be. my auto h22 is still better than the stock f22 tranny that went out on me. and i am twice as hard on the h22a as i was with the f22a6. but do to limitation on upgrading i am doing the 5 spd swap this summer.
