    H22 with F22 manual tranny

i want to get an H22 motor, but would like to keep my f22 tranny..i dont want anyone trying to convince me otherwise, i already have my mind made up...my question is, if i get the hmotorsonline.com H22 longblock, can i successfully do the swap, or will i need to purchase extra components to get the job done?

all f22/h22/h32 blocks are ideally the same. any of their transmissions are able to be swapped between each other.

automatics are the only trannies which need separate tcu's. for manual, you just use the ecu that the engine needs

h22 will only run off a p13 w/o chipping/tuning. p28 needs to be chipped to work with h22.

I would just go with the P13.

p13 is the best/easiest/cheapest way to start on a h22, but the gas taht you can save, and the extra power of tuning with p28 pays off. My car pulls pretty damn hard compared to when I was p13.. like night and day, and I sill get 30mpg, 35 when im doing highway.

I went with a P28 when I first did my swap, but it never worked correctly. I'm sure if you can find a good P28 then you'll probably be fine, I just had a bad expirence.

Well, p13 is nice to get the car started, make sure the swap works and whatnot. Then pick up a p28, have someone socket it and tune your car... burn a chip for the p28. They are both about the same price, but p28 needs to be messed with and prolly not the best one to start with since you wont know if its the engine install or the ecu messing up if its a new install.

yup, f22 tranny. actually got 35.4 mpg going to the orlando meet. Only got 29'ish this last time due to unbalanced freakin tires (UCA was a little loose 2)

But typically 27-30 in city aswell.

never 1/4'ed it, but seems pretty potent. I think the only person thats ridden in it when i was getting on it has been Jose(for tuning) and adam(rebels). But im fairly confident that it is definately a high 14 second car. And this is stock...CAI, kamikaze header and exhaust.
