I am gonign to be using a f22 tranny after i pull my motor and put it into my other car, so i'll see how much of a difference that makes.
but yea right now oOo yea that speed was with my 17s on
wow those 17s must have threw you speedo way off... Either that or mine is off. I hit 140mph because of the rev limiter the car was still pulling pretty good too. The h22 tranny is not much closer than the h23. 150mph is very possible with a h22 tranny and the right mods due to the higher rev range. SO you can put that bs flag away now.
Oil leak? What oil leak? That's just sweat from all that horsepower!

theoretically, over 170mph is possible, going by gearing alone...but add in aerodynamic drag..who knows where that leaves you...

I went through 4 f22a1 on my 93 accord LX. Each one topped out between 113 and 118.

it didnt top out at 112 it was governed by the ecu at that speed. topping out means...the physical inability of the car to travel any faster either due to not enough power vs. drag or transmission gearing !

                OT:

I tend not to believe speedometer claims.

Car and Driver, while testing a Porsche 911 Turbo S (July 1997) said the speedometer in that car read as much as I believe it was 13 mph fast. The speedometer said they were doing in the 200-202 mph range, while the radar gun was showing 187-189 mph.

I'm positive my stock speedometer reads high at lower speeds, so I'm assuming accuracy most likely decreases with speed like most cars.

Was it an auto or 5 spd ecu. Im wondering if that makes a difference. Mine is an auto JDM P13 and im limited to 112.

Its governed at about 120 or so which is why I always ditch the jdm ecu in favor of a chipped p28.

If it makes you feel any better my lude has been clocked at 134 mph going down the highway before. Thats part of the reason why I own the car now. This is why I know a h22 can go faster. I'm not claim 140+ in my h22, f22 tranny accord. But the tach was reading 7500+ rpms in 4th when I blew the motor. According to the dyno vid thats right around 140mph or so.

I have that issue and the motor trend issue laying around here some where. If I remember correctly the speedo in the 911 turbo was at 195 while the car was only doing 181.8 mph.

mm hmm. the speedo lies. especially for those cars that have speedos that only go to 130 mph, rpms are useless. you must be clocked on a radar detector. i have afriend with one, but i'm afraid i'm just not brave/stupid enough to go 160 something mph on a public road. if anyone wants to come to florida, i'd be happy to clock them from a safe, far distance. in their car, not mine.
we have lots of nice long, straight bridges nearby, too.
anyway, rpms dont tell the story about mph- for instance, on the banking at daytona, our miata tops out at about 120 mph. but if we're drafting someone, suddenly we can reach 124 - 125 mph AT THE SAME RPM.

I topped out at 131mph with my nearly stock f22a6 on those long ass atright roads out by the grand canyon.

130 with a f22 almost stock, stock f22 trans, stock ecu ... so i believe most of these numbers. I was not limited by drag enough to stop acceration.

any else with an JDM H22a and H22 auto lsd tranny and chiped JDM P13 make it to 140mph? yes I say chiped JDM P13 ECU Automatic, there are tuner on tis board who can chip it just ask. ANyway my has speed governer removed high rev blah blah. My tire size is 215/45/17 so it about 3-4mph faster then the speedo, on a low windy day I can peg the needle past 130mph speedo on a empty highway, even more on downhill.

Oh at these speed front air spoiler and rear spoiler do very much help stablize my car.
so yes they do help if you are going fast enough.

You're wrong about hitting higher speeds at the same rpm... The only way thats possible is with gearing as drafting has nothing to do with making your car hit a higher top speed at the same rpm. Rather it allows you to be more aerodynamic, cuts drag and allows you to accelerate to a higher speed at a higher rpm. If you're on the rev limiter at 120mph, all the drafting in the world isn't going to help you hit 121 mph.
