I suggest you get a new mechanic. by doing that you would get:
    a loss in power
    a loss in torque
a much higher cost for the engine itself
then you also need a lot of custom parts like mounts and axles for even more $

do you really have a 4' pipe? that would be huge all the way back. which h22 do you have?

The lower torque of the B18 would move your car as fast or slower than the stock F22. The only Accord that would make good use fo the B18 would be something older than a 4th gen. (1989 or older)

If you want more power, get rid of that damn 4" pipe! (assuming that's your exhaust pipe, you're talking about!) I can't think of ANY 4 cylinder application that could make use of such a monstrous passageway. Exhaust gasses need velocity. If they have a huge pipe to sit and stagnate in, you'll be losing lots of power. 2.5" is optimal for a non-turbo H22, 2.25" for a non-turbo F22, and 3.0" for any turbo application. 4" is only good for impressing your friends by stuffing your head up your exhaust pipe!

i couldnt agree more. now i understand that at some point everyone is a noobie, but damn... a b18 in an accord???? i thought something like that was common sense.

im just waiting for the day someone asks about putting a h22 head on a b-series block... thatll be the day.

Completely different design, and again, a waste of time.
