    h22 power

I am only about $1100 short of the cash i need for my h22 swap and i was wondering is it a big difference in power or do you have to hit vtec for there to be a noticable change in power for the car. My car is a 5-speed.

You can't feel it at all... Even with VTEC, it feels just like the F22...

Actually, from what I've been able to learn, there is about a 30hp difference when the VTEC changeover occurs... That means your non-VTEC cam lobes are letting your engine produce 170hp... I could be very wrong here, but that's how I figured it. So yeah, you'll feel those extra 40 horses for sure.

yes there is a big difference. and it more like a 20hp jump.

for a visual i kinda bs'ed a dyno of what a f22accord would look like... given that they have a peak hp of 125@5200, with an average of a 15% drivetrain loss.

so right when youre shifting to second, thats when the real power starts to come in for the h22... while still in 1st.
