need help with h22a1 usdm swap

ok i have the 94 h22a1 engine and tranny the tranny mount used on the accord will not fit the h22 tranny but if i let the h22 tranny mount it falls into place but the driver side mount when installed the crank pulley is 2 close 2 the frame please i need help asap if u could provide pics with ur mounts in place that would be very helpful i have already checked the swap page and i'm really confused h22 sparkle since ur the specialist i think u would be able 2 help me out the most

    thanks 2 all who respond

also do u have 2 change the mount on the motor or do u let that stay and just use the accord mount

If you started with a 5spd, then the mounts should bolt right up. If you started with an auto and converted to 5spd (like I did), you have to remove the tranny mount and weld in a new one in a slightly different location. And yes, the crank pulley IS real close to the frame (at least it is on my car), but it doesn't cause any problems. Hope this helps!

no it's a five speed i didn't convert it at all but the prelude tranny mount is different the pic isn't close enough so it really doesn't help much but thanks anyway

how did u use the accord tranny mount of the h22a1 tranny that's really what all my questions are regarding is basically the motor mounts that's really what my concerns are b/c mine is right on the fire wall

Fill us in... What was the problem? Might help someone later on down the road.

Glad you got it figured out though! You'll love the H, I know I do!

Yup, bet you figured out that if your cb7 is a 5sp. you retain all accord mounts and brackets on the h22 swap.

All you gotta do on the tranny side is tap the tranny casing (1 bolt, towards the front) so that the accord rubber mount will bolt up to the h22 tranny - that's what I did at least so I KNOW it works.

BTW: New discussion here about SIMILAR issue.
