H22 blocks need to be resleeved for boost, that alone is $1g. Then pistons, rods, rod bearing, rod bolts etc, etc...if you build it properly for boost you are looking at about 3500 alone on the block.

okay. with the money u save by using the f22 tranny. u can invest that into the turbo build.
It drops Monday(2-27-06) and the Center-Force clutch goes in Tuesday (2-28-06)

Your not saving much money by just going with the f22 tranny. I would just go ahead and op out for a h22 lsd tranny. Hell so far all I've spent on my h22 and lsd tranny is $1500. $500 to install and now I have the whole thing for the same price as you would normally pay for just the motor.

Where did you get your motor and tranny from? Who pays $2,000 for just an H22 motor?I paid $1400 plus shipping for my H22A and ECU. Which ECU are you using? I've spent at least $500 in parts for seals, fluids, auto-->manual tensioner conversion, belts, plugs, wires, full tune up stuff, slave cylinder, master cylinder, new vacume hoses, wire, solder, heat shrink wraping, tape, etc... the list goes on. That's not even counting the price of the new clutch and flywheel or the $350 I paid for my 5 speed parts car. Did you mean $500 for those parts, or you are going to pay someone $500 to do the swap?

Either way, the difference between the 4.0 and 4.266 final drive ratios when used with the H is like night and day. Just do it the right way and get the H22A tranny.

              Choose between 1 and 2.

              1. Kick self in nuts all day because you tried to save money and use your F series tranny.

              2. Be happy with how quick your car is because you spent a little more cash and used the right tranny Honda meant for the H22.
I am using the F22 tranny right now, but plan on getting the LSD tranny in the future. Not all of us can afford to get it all at one time. It's not wrong to use the F22 tranny, it just won't be as fast. Some could argue it'll be faster than the F22 w/ F22 tranny, but get better gas mileage so its a better option that the H22 w H22 tranny. Like I said it's not wrong and you CAN do it if you want to there will be no downfall besides less available power.

In my case I saved $700 by opting not to use the LSD tranny. If I had the money yeah i'd buy it, but I won't for a couple of months, and I don't plan on letting my car sit just because I could have more power. Hell no i'm going to drive the shit out of that F22 tranny then when the time and money is right i'll order the LSD tranny. Besides i'll probably spend at least $700 on getting my exhaust and Dyno Tuning my Feild's VTEC controller. I needed a motor as soon as I could get one as my F22 was pure shit, hell I only paid $500 for the car~a year ago and it ran decently enough for $500 until my woman overheated it and blew the head gasket. I decided i'd just order the H22A since I had the money for it. And went ahead and bought a 5 speed parts car for the tranny shifter, etc.... So I saved more than just $700 becasue had I just ordered the LSD tranny I still would have had to order the clutch lines shift cables shifter etc. I won't list the slave or master cylinder since I had to get new ones anyway.

Thats $500 to swap. Its given that you usually need a clutch and or flywheel so I dont count that as part of the total cost of the h22. All together I guess it would come out to about $2500 installed. I bought it from a buddy of mine. I bought that one and another one with a spun rod bearing. Sorry about the miss type, I meant For the cost of a h22 and tranny, I've bought mine and am getting it installed.

okay why not just buy the f22 lsd differencial? (yall kno whwat i mean) U can get an obx one for little or nothing off of ebay u may pay a little under $500, but now. so u cant argue that the trnny is only an ls. i still cheaper than an h22 tranny
