USDM swap in california

so you guys probably know i have a new f22a6 motor sitting in my garage and i was just wondering...
since i have a 90 EX, those only had f22a4 and the 92-93 ex's had the f22a6's. so i was wondering if the smog place would give me shit for not having the correct motor since i am putting it in myself/serial numbers not matching up. i dont have paperwork either
im just trying to think of worst case scenarios, like if they consider my engine stolen even though it is new or something.
i checked on the california's smog website and all i got was some general ass information.

i know i still have like 1.5 yrs till my smog check but i want to be prepared.

For that kind of swap I doubt the smog guy would ever notice the difference. Seriously you have nothing to worry about.

Yeah, they're not going to know the difference between an F22A4 and an F22A6. Just take it to a regular smog shop. As long as it runs clean there won't be any issues.

you will not have any probs. as long as you have all the smog shit still intact and you can pass smog, youre good. i took my car to a "test only" site, and it passed.

thats what i figured...when i first failed my test only because of visual inspection, the guy pointed at something and called it the cruise control. i was like...uhhh, no...so i ran a random vacuum line and they passed it

My friend had a F22A4 in his 91 Accord.... well now he has a JDM F22A SOHC and the smog refs didn't give it a second look I don't think smog stations really know we can do so much damage with an Accord and swap like civics and integras can! They look at our cars and are like "oh thats cute it has a exhaust and clear lights....u feel me?

well here's the story on the engine.

one day, im at school and i get a phonecall from my friend whos into cars even more than me.
this past summer, i was enrolled into an automotive program, kinda like auto shop class. well my friend tells me that i should get over there quickly because there is a honda motor sitting here. i ask him what was the gnein code and look near the flywheel area. he says, "f22a6"
im like, "OH SNAP!"
i get my ass over there and call dibs and tell the teacher that im interested and if he was willing to sell it to me. couple weeks go by and finally he confirms that it can be sold. i ask more questions such as where did it come from, what is the condition?
it came straight fromt he factory and was donated....so it is brand new. i even took the cap off and everything is still untouched and no presence of oil.
so yea, i snagged it and it is now waiting to be swapped in, along with an a6 manifold that i got.
