    F22A4 to F22B2 swap question

i've got some more "mechanically inclined" peeps helping me with my swap, and now that we got it done nearly, they're telling me we gotta pull the motor BACK out cuz the flywheel is 2 inches too small, or something... i was under the impression the motor should bolt right up, no problems... whats up with this??

k, nevermind that, it was a simple motor part swap ^_^ i was upset about having to take the motor back out, but anywho... new question, really stressing about this one...

1>>>the motor mounts and fuel lines... my fuel rail connects on the other side of the block, so i gotta get a new line that will reach. i can't get a custom fuel line unless i drive 70 miles to the dealship with a tube of KY so it dun hurt as much when i get slammed, i'd have to MAKE one from regular fuel hose and recycling my old fittings... anywho, i need to know how much pressure does the 91 Accord's fuel system put out...

2>>> this is the most expensive part... i am stranded with no mounts for the B2 engine, and i KNOW the driver side mount is smaller on the B2, but i'm not sure...will the front or rear motor mounts work on the B2 or will i haveto buy new ones or what... (reason i'm asking is the back one is partially obscured by the block so i can't gauge that well, and we annihilated the front mount getting the block out...

pull the fuel rail from your f22a and put it on the f22b problem solved.

You should be able to reuse your F22a mounts on the b-block if I'm not mistaken. Moreover, I'm sure that the B2 will just drop in for the most part...I used to have a CD7 (94 coupe) and it had the B2 in it and the mounts look IDENTICAL to the one's in my CB...

The engine's layouts look the same, and I know from doing the timing belt and installing a tranny in the CD that the mounts are in the same place, so you should ba able to just drop it in...

Why are you runnning the B2 anyway?? Everywhere that I read about them dogs them pretty bad, and my personal experiences follow suit. I had an auto CB with the A1 and it'd catch second gear regularly, the CD was auto and it sucked all together, just wondering...

I have a f22b2 in my cb7, and if i can remember correctly we used the f22a mounts, one thing we did have to modify was the power steering/alternator bracket which we used off the f22a but we had to grind it down quite a bit to make it fit, because it doesnt bolt uo to the f22b2 on the far left side like it does on the f22a.
