hello everybody im new to cb7tuner and i have a 1993 honda accord but ive been reading some of the threads and have a few concerns on the h22 swap 1st. where can i get a complete swap i live in modesto CA. or on the net will be good to. 2nd) how much will it cost. 3rd)can i use my accords factory wiring harness with the h22 an what modification do i need to do the factory tranny mounts cause i have an auto. one more anyone know where i can get a lip 4 my car.

hey i got a 1990 accord, and i recently got a jdm h22a from www.hmotorsonline.com it came with a wiring harness (which you need a few plugs from) lsd 5 spd trans, and the ecu shipped to my door in PA from CA for 2500$ and yes you do use the stock accord trans mount and you have to tap two pre existing holes on the new trans in order for it to bolt up, but hit up the junk yard for a 5 spd tranny mount if thats your concern, im not sure where hmotorsonline is located, but you may be able to go pick it up if you live close in CA, and i was very happy with my swap, very easy to do

Well ive seen great deals for motors and transmissions on

www.craigslist.com

just select where you live on the right and go to auto parts or whatever its called, and type in "prelude" and "h22" and anything relating to that.

Don't forget that if you are going from auto to 5 speed the trans mount on the frame will need to be taken off and the 5 speed one welded back on!

I ordered my H22A and ECU from hmo and it cost $1600 shipped. Then another ~$400 for new belts, all seals w/p, gaskets, and manual tensioner swap, oil and fluids, all new cv boots. Plus another $350 for my 5 speed parts car. Another $250 for clutch and flywheel. So in all i've spent about 2600. The wiring can seem intimidating if you've never done it before, so if you have any problems I can send you pics of everything. I had alot of questions on the wiring so you could look up my posts also.

I got my lip and sideskirts from streetstyler.com. It took longer to get here than they told me because they sent it DHL, and DHL has a policy that if it's over "48 IIRC they can't garauntee how long it'll take. I also ordered the Mugen sideskirts which come with little fender "wings" and I never got the "wings" just the sideskirts. I've contacted them several times about it and they said oh we'll send 'em. Never got 'em, after a while they just stopped responding to my emails.

thanks 4 the info everyone but i have onother question i know that this swap is leagal but while i was at school one of the teachers mentioned that it was not because i was going from sohc to dohc and vtech and he said that a swap like this would go and have to get refferied or something like that. if anyone knows anything about this it would be alot of help thanks.
