F22B in today. tbelt& water pump probs

I have been reading about this swap for about a month. Today I finally got around to installing The new seals and the Tbelt & Water pump. I chose to go with the GSR/type R timing belt and f22ax water pump.

I had a PowerEnterprises Super Strong timing belt that I had waiting for my ITR engine befor I wrecked my integra. and I ordered a Waterpump for a 93 accord ex from autozone.

Here's the problem. the waterpump was a 20 tooth pump and the one that was on there was 19tooth. The # of teeth really doesn't matter but the 20 tooth pump had a bigger sprocket. The gsr belt absolutely would not fit. I tried for 20 mins. Before I took the waterpump off I tried the belt that came on the engine and it slid right on there. That tells me that the F22b belt is longer than the ITR/GSR belt. I thought it may just be that aftermarket belt that I had so I dug up an old ITR belt that I had and still didn't fit. I ended up going with the stock 19 tooth waterpump since I plan to rebuild in a couple of months.
But for those that have used the GSR belt F22ax combo, did you have any problems?

Also, the belt does seem a bit wide. It does not rub the balance shaft belt, but it is wider than the crank sprocket at the bottom. So when the balance shaft sprocket is placed over it, it does touch. And I can't see it but I'm sure that once the crank pulley is torqued down, It will rub the timing belt.

My engine came with OEM honda belt and it has a part # on it. I may check to see if I can't get this belt.

I think H23 belt /waterpump would work better for this engine.

BTW I had every intention to take pics and do complet write up but I forgot my cam.

I used the gsr t-belt and f22a waterpump. It was a tight fit but its cuz its a new belt.I put the belt on before i put the tensioners on and then i kinda worked the tensioners in.it was the only way the belt would fit.

Everything is installed and doesn't seem to be any problems so far. This engine runs great with the f22a4 ecu. havent got around to putting in the P39 b/c haven't wired IAB yet.

Really can't compare power increase b/c my old engine was on its last legs. my old one wouldnt even rev past 5k.

I'll get some pics up soon.

This motor is great and has given me the inspiration to go ahead and finish the Accord project and not give up on Honda's. I've had 5 integras and 2 civics and I was ready to move on. I luv hondas but the new IS350 is calling me.

I couldn't get the GSR/ITR belt on with the accord pump(20t) new or used. I had the tensioner spring off and the tensioner pulley was bottomed out there was no room to get the belt on. Even if I would have gotten it on there would have been "zer0" slack and the tensioner would not have moved.
