    Swapping manifolds

Any idea on what the best intake manifold for F and H series are? The manifold that came on my F23a sucked, the manifold from my f22a4 had wider intake ports and longer runners I believe. As far as I know f22a6 has an extra four ports called butterflies. I've never heard of that with any other manifold made for H or F series, so would these, F22a6, be the best manifold for all motors F and H????

i have no experience with the manifold you have there on the right. Best thing to do is match up the gasket from the F22a4 to the F23 and if they match then you can use any of the F and H series manis.

That F23 manifold looks anemic, go with the dual runner manifold found on the F22a6, H23, and F22b.

h23 or jdm f22b are best. well, i dunno if the jdm f22b is identical to the h23, but i suppose it is, but yea, h23 had dual runners as well

i just did an f22a6 manifold swap on my f22a1. the end result was amazing. its loud as hell, roars like a fucking dinosaur and i can feel a huge increase in power. i rigged a vacuum hose on the solenoid to control the valves because i dont have the ecu for now. when you open it up it has 8 ports, 4 just like any other manifold, and 4 extra ones with butterfly valves in them. they open up at 4700 and 5400 i believe and let in all that extra air and it really makes a difference. i definitely recommend it!

if u liked the results of the a6 mani, u should try the h23, it flows more than the a6, and it fits perfectly on our heads.

Does the H23 mani have 4 extra ports (butterfly) like the f22a6 mani???

what the heck? they open at 4700 AND 5400?? i think ur mistaken! there is only one "set" of runners that stay closed during low rpm and then those open at 4800 for more high end power!haha if urs are opening and then closing back up and then re-opening at 5400 u got issues that i cant help with ! lol! but anyhow if ur just hooked up through vacuum then urs are opening at like 3200 rpms or so depending on throttle position...since its running off vacuum when u go WOT from a stand still they will open right away and thus cause u to have crappy low-end power! i have mine off vacuum and it sucks..i even installed the PT6 ecu to have it open by ecu but not sure how to get the wire to the ecu? or how to hook the wire to the ecu.... since the harness i have does not suposet pin 17! blah!

i just read that they opened up like that in another thread...but mine are definitely opening about 45-4700...and i dont seem to be losing any low end doing the vacuum setup.

well i can garauntee that ur losig a lot more low end than u think! hook it up to an ECU have them closed until 4700rpms then open electronically at that point...and its a whole nother story! but hey if u like it the way it is...by all means keep it that way....im not! lol but then again im going H23/F22a soon so im not gonna need to hook my JDM F22a IM runners up yet! thanks to JDMCORD!!
