    H23 swap

This week I am planning on starting my new project the h23 swap. Since the H22 is blown, I just want to get a motor in there bc this Talon(beater car) is driving me crazy. I was just wondering if any of you have ever done this swap before...? I know it's easy since I've already done the H22 swap. All I really need is a header. If you can think of anything else. PLEASE let me know.

if you have your f22 header it will fit the h23

ehh, too late for that. I'm doing the swap with my friend who has a drag H22 hatch, so he's given me some insight on this. I know this should be an easy swap. Just wondering if anyone else here has done it.

Hey there H22girl, you have been telling us that you are going to do the swap and i would like to know if you are still going for that H23/H22 frankenstien. H23 should fit perfect with little mods , if any, to the wirering. Good luck. Keep us updated.

I need to take the H22 head to the local cylinder head guy and see if he can fix it. If it's fixable, I will more than likely end up doing the Frankenstein motor, but not for a lil while. Due to school and work right now. If the head isn't fixable or too expensive. I'll probably sell the parts off of it so I may go with the h23 turbo setup. We'll see in due time though...

well if her motor went poof and she has a h23 that shes putting in their then it seems like the best cost effective way to do it ten to buy another h22 you know. the one downfall to the h23/h22 frank is you will not have the oil squirters to cool down the pistins as you would in the h22 block. other then that the crank and rods are the only real differance in the bottum ends. and yes that means if anyone wants a cheap stroker kit(for what its worth) you could put a h23 crank and rods in your h22.

I don't have a spare H22 block just wandering around. If the H22 head is ok, that's the onyl reason I will be able to do te frank motor. That's the only reason I would. I love the H22. I want vtec back. I don't have vtec with the H23. It's not liek I'm gonna leave it stock anyway! hehe

it's not as difficult as an ls/vtec swap
since when is a LS/VTEC hybrid difficult? lol they even sell "kits" nowadays.

and i say do the H23/VTEC and boost the shit out of it.
Four rods enter, one rod leaves...

Hey now, I may be a girl, but I'm not a complete idot! I know quite a bit about these motors. But again, I have friends that are helping me put the swap in. All I need is the oil squirters and a header. No big deal. This is a day project. Well, now 2 days. I started on Saturday, only worked for a few hours bc we didn't quite have all the tools we needed. But hey, it happens. Next Saturday it will hopefully be running. It's just a free motor, how much better can it get?

Oh, and my H22 head is fixable, but I'm not keeping it. All of the parts are for sale. I don'twanna go through the hassle again, so I will probably get this car running and sell my talon, then hopefully get a new car after nopi natl's.

You can't beat a free engine... That's the only reason I'm modding an F22B1... If I had to pay for it, then I'd be building a J30/J32 V6...
