More h22 issues with flucuating idle...

I have searched, tried stuff, searched more and I stil have the same problem and now a new one.

When I first purchased my car it had a bad idle problem, especially when cold. I thought..no biggie it's probably just the FIV so I took off the TB adjusted the plunger back down, same damn problem. When I first start the car it dosen't idle up to say 1300 and idle back down when it warms up it just idles at 650 right when I start the car. Until it warms up the idle will flucuate from 650-720 almost precisely. Aggrivating huh?

When it actually does warm up it will begin to idle around 750 (sometimes a bit higher) but now the throttle has started sticking when it's hot outside. Say for instances I'm cruizing along in whatever gear and I drop it in nuetral to roll to a stop, the damn thing will stay where I had the throttle at! WTF? Even if I'm driving along and I let off the throttle my VAFC will show anywhere from 2-5% throttle and my foot is nowhere near the gas. The real kicker is that this only happens when it's really hot outside. If I drive my car at night, no such problem?

If anyone has ANY ideas to fix these problems I am all ears!~

    TPS
    COOLANT TEMP. SENSOR
IAC VALVE (on front side of intake manifold )
    check those first

if still have problem, get some carb cleaner and start spraying around on all your gaskets. if the car boggs down after spraying in a certain area then you have a leak.
    good luck

TPS voltage is ok, I can check it with the VAFC and it is within spec. I will try the IAC and CTS and see what happens. Can anyone tell me exactly where the CTS is located?

Testing the voltage is one thing on the TPS, but i might have to be recalibrated.

now the CTS is under the Distributor but there are 2 of them. the other one is located by the egr somewhere.

also what specs did you get from your VAFC for the sensors?

Is it shooting any codes you already winded back the wax tip in the fitv now clean out the iacv then make sure your your not shooting off a code to the tps and last but not least this shit caused me a headache swap ecu;s with someone else like a p13 btw what ecu are you using is it chipped or modded in anyway?

I am getting .5v at closed throttle and 4.5v at WOT, exactly within spec.

It's not throwing any codes the search becomes more difficult. I will try and clean the IACV and see if that helps any. Hell I even have a spare sitting in the trunk. My ecu is a p72 w/ Jose's (BustedLX) basemap. I also have a VAFC as well. Here is something I thought of recently but haven't tried out. When you re-set the VAFC you have to do a number of steps for an "throttle position learn procedure" do you think this could possibly rememdy some of these problems?

WELL if you are running a modded ECU then there is no need for the VAFC. you might as well sell it.

also did you spray around all the gaskets with carb cleaner?

cuz i went through the same problem and the last thing i did was spray around with carb cleaner and sure enough my intake mani. gasket was leaking.

I have no had an opportunity to do so, but I will give it a shot this weekend.

I have had a similar problem Josh. It mainly happens in heat. I adjusted the tiny screw that is underneith where the throttle cable goes around the circular thing on the tb. I wanna say it is a throttle plate but am not sure so please excuse my lack of proper terminology. Anyway, the tiny screw can be adjusted with an alan wrench. This seems to adjust the plate and keeps the tb from sticking. You might want to also spray brake cleaner in the tb and clean it out.
