i think i saw one of these hatches for sale on ebay motors maybe five or six months ago. the 4g63 was basically on one side of the engine bay. the guy claimed there was only like three of them. he wanted about 12,000 g's i think

The 4G63 turbo is in all the DSM cars (eclipse, talon, laser... and the Galant VR4) It's also in all of the Lancer Evolution cars, even the current day ones. Non-turbo variations of it can be found in a number of unlikely cars, such as the Hyundai Elantra and Sonata.
The turbo motor is 200hp, I believe... I think there are more powerful versions of it out there as well. It's truly an amazing motor, and I think it's one of (if not THE) longest running production 4 cylinder Japanese motors (it's been around for longer than any of the popular Honda motors)

well . . . maybe you could acquire an evo engine from a wrecked early model evo? . . . like through one of the importer companies. GS or GS-T transmissions shouldnt be too hard to come by . . . and im sure theres tons of aftermarket support to strengthen those. . . really great idea . . . maybe someone can actually follow through on this one
