    Alternator problems!

Ok as you all know i have a JDM H22 in my 93 Accord. well it has been swapped for almost 2 years now. today i will be replacing yet another alternator. this will be my 3rd one so far. now i do kick myself in the nuts for always buying used ones but i dont have $250 to just shell out for a new one. especially when a used only cost $40.

    ANY SUGGESTIONS OR IDEAS ????????

oh yeah when i put this alternator in today i am going to make a 4 guage wire run from the pos. battery post to the alternator. should help.

what alternator are you using? and if it's a stock one and you have all sorts of fun electrical things and gidgets and gadgets and whatevers on your car... maybe youre overkilling your alternators... ...especially if you notice your battery not keeping its charge correctly...

    ...i know i did!

i dont have a stereo system anymore. havent had one for like a year, just normal crap ( cd player, door speakers.)
the last one i had i put the AEM pulley on it. i did away with that.
coldnt ever let your car just sit and idle. i am using the accord alternator. so i am wondering if reving to 7 grand is hurting it.

now i do have a VAFC, radar detector and oil gauge and Air/Fuel gauge but shit that can be draining them.

no. i mean i have a 750 watt amp with a 20lb 12" sub and other speakers that drained the battery, and the alternator couldn't keep up

that small stuff shoudn't be the problem... hmmm

You may very well have to do what I did once and break down and get a brand new Bosch alternator. It's a little more money than the rest of them but it truly is an awesome alternator. Produced the highest voltage at idle (within safe range) of any alternator I've used.

Your best bet is to trade your old one and get a remanned one it shouldnt be that much and atleast youll have a warrantee on it.
