    f22b WIRING help dizzy?

ive done some research but im still confused. I need to convert my f22b dohc to an external dizzy right? because the wiring harness fits that. it doesnt fit right now. these three dont plug in.

also i on the distributer this doesnt go anywhere on the wiring harness

also on this valve thing the wiring harness doesnt have a thing that will fit in taht?

Can i use teh external parts from my f22ax to convert this?

    help lol

the item that you referd as a "valve thing" is actually called an EGR valve.

oh so i think i recall reading that i need to swap over the egr valve. except the nuts on mine are stuck on the f22a head. So one down now what about the distributer ?

Go look in your engine bay and compare plugs and that will help you alot, you ahve alot of reading/learing to do if you didnt know that was your egr valve.. and put some damn pb blaster on the buts.

dont convert to external just keep it internal and put a 20/25/30 amp fuse in the extra plug that goes to the external dizzzy..

anyways yeah broaded up your pictures so i can see exactly what we are looking at.

ok ive got most of it. i found where that one thing going out of the distributer plugs in so im missing 2 things now:

that little green thing i cant figure out where it goes thiers no spot? isnt that the water temp or something?

on the old motor this was the egr valve wire now the connecter under that one, i dont know where it goes. unless it plugs into the car but its way down thier so i dont think it does. is thier where i put the fuse? im still confused.

Are you using your f22a harness? cause thats what you need to do, and you need to switch you water temp sensor from your f22a and your fuel rail and clean up the f22b injectors and use those..

                from accordtuner:
JDM distributors seem to tend to be internal coil. If the coil setup on your new motor is internal, and the coil setup for your car is external, first check to see if your distributor will work on the new motor (if you're working with an h22a forget about it), then you have two options. Either buy an external coil distributor for the motor that matches the external coil setup of your car, or splice the yellow and yellow/black wire that goes to the plug for your stock external coil, and use the internal coil distributor that came with the new motor.

phatdoughnut, what do you mean use the f22a wiring harness?the one that is connected to the motor when the motor get pulled or the one that stays in the car?if i have to switch the one on the motor, that aint hard, they just clip on right?

yes, yes, i know its another noobie question but i don't remember reading that in the swap q&a.

im using the original harness from my motor taht i pulled out of the car, thier are 2 plugs that dont bolt up. ive already switched fuel rails. i cant get my egr valve to come unbolted (stripped) so i spliced those 3 wires into the egr valve on the f22b. so i basically have open connecters? and also i dont understand what he said about the splicing of a wire? i just stuck a fuse in one of the connecters that should have gone to the external coil.

Dudes, this motor is like the easiest motor to swap. Like I heard a few people say before "its just reversal of removal" everything on your harness (f22a1 harness) plugs right in. Seems like the issue here is remembering where everything plugs in. HEY PHATDOUGNUT, arent the fuel injectors on the F22a1 and F22B the same size. From my searches they were. I'm using the my F22a1 injectors, should i switch?
