I dont really know what to make of the H22b. So I did some searching and i found it amazing that you can't find anything on it. So I compared the lettering to other hondas. You guys judge this.

this was my theory, its a block that was never in a car from the factory. I know for a fact in Australia they have h22z blocks, which were extra blocks produced for when people blow up their engines and they are under warranty. My guess is that is something similar.

This may sound real funny or real messed up but I knew a kid from high school who was trying to sell someone an LS-Vtec that was just an LS motor with a Vtec valve cover. He modded the cover to fit the engine. At first glance it looks very good until you realize the bolts are in the wrong place. It was a real shocker.

So I dont really know. I looked at the engine stamp and i wondered, but that same seller sold me a P05 and that was legit so I am stumpped on this one.

EDIT: I did some searching and i think i have a source. Give me time to confirm it. I got some forums that say its from japan.

You should get picks of the head so you can see the p13 stamp. It looks legit to me, but just to make sure. Then you can tell everyone that you have a h22b, and everyone will be like wtf? And then you can make them feel stupid. That would be tight.

I just sent the email out. I did some searching online and there were some people saying there is a H22B, C and Z??? Someone on here already confirmed the Z as being a factory replacement under warranty. The other two...I am still looking for solid proof.

It IS real. Look at a pic of an F22B DOHC stamp it is IDENTICAL except an F. this is a legit motor. Just had to come from another country or is like a crate honda motor.

Ok here is what I have gathered on this ...

The H22B came in the BB8 prelude. It is from the 96-00 ludes. It is the 205Hp motor. I am understnading it to be the BB8 SiR motor.

If anyone finds anything to confirm this then post here!

I saw that in a forum somewhere but I am was hesistant to take their word for it.

It sounds possible because so far i know for a fact that this motor is an OBD2 motor.
