    Help! H22A4 Problems.

So I finished the swap today and went for a test drive, in 1st gear, my car stutters and does pull at all until vtec, around 5500 RPM. Second gear is a lot smoother and starts to pull harder but feels like there is a flat spot around 4000 RPM, which is ended when I hit vtec and then she pulls harder again. From a pull in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.... 1st stutters and 2nd and 3rd pulls hard. I am throwing two codes, 12 and 14. 12 is EGR valve, 14 is idle control valve. The most obvious explanation is to fix the idle control valve but why would it pull hard in 2nd and 3rd gear?

well fix those codes first probably would take the idle air control valve off first clean it out first with some brake cleaner make sure the connection is on there well. AS for the egr clean that out too its probably got some carbon build up in there or some gunk or some shit in there preventing the h22 from workin to its maximum capacity yaknow.

      Trouble Codes Fixed?

So I took the EGR valve off of my F22A6 and bolted it on and reset my ECU, it seemed to have fixed the idle problem too. I still have no low end power though. My frustration is starting to get the best of me... the H22 is feeling more and more like my stock F22. Does anyone have any ideas about what the deal could be? Again, no power at all, totally gutless. High end feels better than low, probably thanks to vtec but nothing at all what an H22 should be in my car. Any help is appreciated.

After some further diagnosis it looks like one of my cam gears might be off a tooth. I think this would explain the hesitiation and slow rev. Im keeping my fingers crossed. Has anyone experience what its like to have a cam gear off by a tooth? Symptoms? THanks for the help?

If one of the cams are INDEED off a tooth, yes that will cause power loss.

Update. Problem is fixed. I had a couple of vacuum lines backwards and the had some bad grounds going to my engine. Fixed and somewhat tuned. I ran on the dyno... I have a picture to back it up and will post later. 162whp and 127 wtq.
