    Just Curious...

How much of a hastle would jamming the 98-02 or the newest Accord V6 engines into a CB7 be? I'm just curious. The 98-02 could probably only retain the auto lay-out while the new ones would be a 6 speed...which would be too large...correct?

And, I have a 93 coupe with the F22A6...should I keep the F22A6 and go all out full mods mabye turbo or get the H22A and do just like exhaust? It will be for daily driving...but also a few track days.

    Thanks for any answers.

well the engine is fuckin big to begine with . Well it looks big to me I think that obd2 as well so thats more hassle. and you have to modify the engine too it will be heavier and its a v6 so less mpg for you not a good idea stick to the 4 banger or try something else like boost but allmotor would do it for you too.

You can turbo the F22A6, I'm actually working on that project right now with a buddy of mine. He thinks more highly of the results than I do however, but then again, he bought my old F22 to do this project while I have my H22 sitting under the hood of my CB7. Anyway, the turbo F22 is still underway. You could put a nice lil' turbo set up on the F22 for about the same price as the H22 would cost you, but which is more reliable? I dunno, depends on if you keep the stock bottom end on the F22. It's set to handle 12 PSI, although I wouldn't daily drive her at that range. It's simply a matter of what you want to do. I prefer the all motor world since my lil' racecar is my daily driver. You can daily drive a turbo f22 as well though. Which is more you? Which do you know more about? Stick with what you know, learn from there. Just a thought though, it's already been done, but if you get the H22, you can always go turbo on that later too... Good luck!

thanks for the inspiring words, bro!

I'm really in a hole right now of where I want my CB7 to go...right now I'm 15 and it'll obviously be my daily driver. I want a car that is reliable but also quick. I'm leaving all the radio and ac and shit for now. I'll end up keeping the F22A6 untill it either blows up...or untill i somehow get like 3 grand. Luckily my grandpa has a cherry picker so it'll be no big deal to get it in there...I just need the cash. I'll probably just end up saving my cash after a few more things and then get the H22...more practical.

          thanks, bro

I've taken some measurements and looked in to it pretty extensively. The J30/J32 engine and transmission assembly is actually SHORTER AND NARROWER than the F22/H22 engine and tranny combo. I'm confident it could be done with minimal frame customization.

But for what reason? I took out Accord V6's with my old F22 motor. Prime example: One of the guys I know has a 3.2TL Type-S... Comptech everything, including a supercharger. He runs 15.5's in his car. Granted it's a full leather interior 4 door, but come on now. Wise man once say, Honda good with i4, not so good with V6... You'd also be doing a completely different set-up since I think those are all tip-tronic shifters, OBD II, and you'll never get an LSD. Waste of time and money... But drop what you want, just don't expect to pull any better than an H22, you'll probably lose to them.

how about the new coupe 6spd which runs 14.5 stock? I'm sure with it in a light 4th gen with some bolt ons you could pull 13's. it's still not worth it imo, but I dont think it will beat an h22.

ok...I was just wondering. I wasn't saying I was gonna go do it...it was just plaguing me.

                    I'll probably either go turbo'd F22A6 or n/a H22...most likely H22

I love the roar of the H22a and the roar of when the VTEC kicks in. My 93 Coupe is my daily driver and it feels great to get out on the freeway and let her loose. Its very reliable.

Remember...with turbo...you have to keep your engine tuned to keep it reliable.
