    CB7 Transmission question...

I've heard, but have my doubts, that an F22A1 transmission will swap with a B18A1 tranny. I'm just wondering if that's true, not true, or what. I am in slight need of a new transmission, and the junkyards around here are barren.

Second, though I'm sure this question's been answered so a link would be all right if anybody has one handy, what transmissions will fit to the F22A1 directly? Mostly just what year of vehicles can I search for in the quest for a new transmission?

I read a mag about a guy who built up a F22a and did that. But the tranny required major mods for you to do that.

True, I remeber reading the reason behind this guy making the switch to the B series trans. He did it because his F22 was putting out 341whp and 280lbs of torque. The B seires trans has a much larger after market than the F- and H- series trannies. But his reason for the switch was not to be practical. It was mainly for drag racing purposes.

all prelude/accord tranny housings are identical they will all bolt up, as for the years ago search anything up to 92-96/98 i believe...even the aftermarket such as clutches and flywheels are interchangable between the two.

Thanks for all the help, guys. I appreciate it. Now it's back to the quest for a new transmission, I think.

My car is the biggest heap, and I'm going to be putting a smal boost on this engine before I do a decent swap.
