    H22A1 or F22A6 Manual 5-Speed Swap?

I can't decide which manual transmission to get.
    I have a '91 Accord SE with a F22A6 Automatic Tranmission.
I want to start driving a manual shift soon, I'm getting bored with an
automatic transmission. Does anybody know what steps I can take?
I was thinking about buying a used F22A6 Manual Transmission from a
junkyard out of a wrecked CB7. Is this a good idea or not?

If you plan on going H22 in the near future, go with the H22 tranny...if not, stick with an F22 manual tranny.

the type of tranny you use depends on the way you drive the H22 has a higher gearing so the RPM's will be higher at highway speeds the H23 has a little shorter gear ratio and the F22 has the shortest yeilding better gas mileage if you are inteested i have a complete 5 spd setup for sale asking 250 i'm in S.C. so i'm not far up the road

I agree with them. The H22a tranny is geared for better acceleration, higher rpm, and worse gas milage. The F22 is the oppisite, geared for slower acceleration, lower rpm, and better gas milage.

yeah, it also depends on what ur future plans are, if u r gona stay n/a then i would recommend the h23 tranny, since it doesnt have as short gears as the H22. but if u plan on boost, then i would recommend the f22 tranny, since ur gona need to stay in those lower gears for a while until u build enough boost( u need longer gears for boost)

Has anyone swapped a h22 lsd trans on a f22a1 for all-motor purposes? Also, i'm assuming this would be the best tranny out of the h/f line-up to use for an all motor f22 because of the shorter gearing? Is there really a noticable difference cuz I have a 90' 5sp and want to swap it with this tranny!
