I would almost bet that it is throwing a code 12 (EGR Lift sensor). That is exactly what my car did. When you did the swap, did you hook up all of the vacuum lines correctly? Did you bypass the EGR? Did you swap the wires on the ECU (A6 and A12 I think). All of those will cause a code 12 on an H22 swap. But yeah, it sounds like an EGR light.Originally posted by Junior SmurffNevermind guys, google search works wonders!

EGR=Exhaust Gas Recirculation
The EGR valve is between the throttle body and the dizzy (on the intake manifold). Should have a vacuum line from the box on the firewall to the EGR valve (I think the vacuum line is labelled 16) and a sensor plug on it. If either one of them are not connected properly, it will throw the code when the EGR tries to open. If the vacuum line isn't connected, it won't open and the sensor will see that and throw the code. I would say take the car back where you had the swap done and have them look at it. As for the pin swap on the ECU, that only needs to be done to the 5th gen accords. Basically what it does on the 4th gen is it swaps the EGR lift voltage and the O2 heater, so the EGR is always getting lift voltage and it will run like shiat... If you do a search, you'll find a post on how to run the vacuum lines, so make sure that they are correct. Or, like I said earlier, take it back where you had the swap done and have them fix it.Originally posted by Junior SmurffNevermind guys, google search works wonders!

Did you check your code yet. My car did the same damn thing. I was throwing codes 42 & 43. Knock Sensor / Vtec Oil Pressure switch. They were wired backwards because there in the exact opposite locations from the F22 and H22 blocks. We just assumed it was the same and I pulled my hair for 2 weeks fucking with that stupid knock sensor. If those are the codes youre throwing that may be the problem.

This is what the EGR valve looks like...
Here are the innards (guts) of the box on the firewall...
line 16 is on the lower left ^^^
This is the EGR valve hiding on the intake mani vvv
...
The vacuum line connected to the EGR valve should be #16 and the other end of 16 should be going here ^^^
The line on my car goes under the CAI and snakes under the external coil to the firewall box. If you have a JDM H22A, you may not have the external coil in the way.
If you need more help than this, you're gonna have to bring the car to me so I can actually SHOW you where everything is.
BTW, who did your swap? I know you said you "helped", but you never commented on taking it back to them to have it looked at...Originally posted by Junior SmurffNevermind guys, google search works wonders!
