ive ask this question before i got no answer so imma ask again ....at present the resister box in my car is for the f20a8 sohc motor which my car was originally 2.0i .now that ive swap to the h22a p13 enginge shouldnt i be using the h22a resister box instead of the f20a8 series box ??, also i havent got the lab box /wires hooked up on the h22 engine but my car stills drags like a flat spot( a low growl sound) on take off i have to increase the fuel for the car to pick up above 1500 rev approxx , also whenever i slow down or come to a full stop.... shift gear from drive to park my rev needle bounces like three time up and down then come back to normal what should i do to to fix the problem ive got no engine management light showin at all can any one help me
You don't need the other resistor box. They are all the same so as long as you have one you are ok.
The lag you experiance sounds like timing. Check that your cam timing and ignition time are properly set.
There's a real easy way to increase your flow. Just take off the fuel rail, take a razor, and cut the little screens off the injectors. They're there for extra protection incase something manages to get past both fuel filters. Honestly, they're pretty useless. Even if something very small gets into the injectors, it won't they there long. Gas will eat through just about anything

Dude that is horrible advice. First of all you wouldn't need to cut the little screen they are simply clipped in so if you really wanted to remove them you'd just have to pull them out, Second if a small grain of sand where able to get into an injector it would run the chance of scoring the walls of the inside of the injector or damaging the injector plunger and therefor cause a leaky or worse yet a stuck injector, and Thridly how much more could an injector really flow without the added filter 5cc-8cc? Might aswell just buy the right equipment for the job instead of rigging everything.
Well, there's a group of Honda tuners in Phoenix that have been doing this mod for years (where I got it from), and if anyone was to worry about sand, it would be them. I'm just saying, as long as your other two fuel filters are in good condition (or even just one of them), the odds of something getting caught in the injectors is very slim

i'm sorry invader but i agree with busted. You couldn't even make a .1:1 a/f change with that tiny bit of difference. Why would they risk the injectors and possibly the engine instead of just making the injectors open longer with the proper tools?
Knowledge is power...in EVERY sense of the word

OBD-1 Preludes use 345cc P&H low impedence injectors. The 4th gen Accord uses 240cc P&H low impedence injectors. The OBD-2 Prelude uses 280cc Saturate high impedence injectors. High impedence injectors do not require the use of a resistor box, low impedence injectors such as your OE injectors and the OBD-1 Lude injectors do.
If you are running OE Accord (240cc) injectors on your H22Ax then yes you are running lean. Esspecially since the fuel tables in the P13 are written for 345cc injectors and NOT 240's.
thanks for the info, i'll have to swap out the injectors for obd1 h22 injectors. I had a feeling i was running lean because it lags real bad on take off but at high end runs great. Stupid question thou, were is are resistor box in are cars?
