    Is this True

I have about a $1300. My tranny is shot and my motor has about 204k so Im just changing out everything at once. Ive been pricing just stock replacement motors for a 93 LX. But every place I call says the 94-95 VTEC accord engines are cheaper. Everywhere I call local wants like $1500 for the motor and tranny does that seem like a fair price, Im installing it. I see cheaper prices at the online places but then you have to deal with shipping. I just need some advice, Im not really looking for more power just something that will give me another 100k miles.

Hes only got 1300. Hes not going to be able to do a h22 with that much plus the h22 is over rated and way over priced unless you get a hook up. Do what you want man but do some research for sure there is a lot of knoladge on this sight so find what you wan tand go for it.

If you have the option to save up for the h22a imo I would do that, but if you need your car fixed right away then I would have to agree with the f22b dohc non vtec idea. I was in the same situation but I had the option to hold out for a couple weeks and just ride the bus to save up for the h22. I chose the cheap route cause I wanted my car back as soon as possible. Not that I dont love my f20a dohc, but I now wish I would have waited for that extra power.

Thanks for the input, my car is running right now but not sure for how long but I do have a back up transportation in case it goes. Im thinking of driving to California to save on shipping its only 5 hours to LA from where I live. Id like to do the H22 but Im still reading through all the threads, theres a bunch. I get a little nervous on the H22 some people it goes flawless others Ive read they have nothing but CEL codes and nickel & dime crap. I really couldnt afford that. Im really looking for something where I wont have to weld tranny mounts and all that. Just a direct bolt in.

Im glad I read a little bit more I guess the auto tranny bolts right up to the CB7 chassis. No welding required is that right.
