I got quoted $3200 for an H22 swap in my 90 Accord and I can keep the auto tranny which is nice to have in St. Louis traffic. Any help is appreciated.

i just got my swap for $1750cdn shipped to my door and that included the ecu, tcu, motor, tranny, and full uncut wiring harness so i would say no it isn't a good deal at all

It's worth what you feel is right. If that is worth $3200 to you, then it's worth it. If that includes the motor, tranny, all sensors, shipping, and installation, that's a decent deal. If not, then you're paying more than I would pay... Although my swap cost me damn near $4000 in the end...

IMO, you should do it yourself. It's not THAT hard, as long as you have the time, tools, space, and knowledge... The knowledge can be found on the board here. The time and tools are on you. The space is the reason why I paid to have mine done. You'll NEED an enclosed garage (unless you plan on doing it in a day, and you don't seem like someone who is ready for that!). You'll probably need a week of downtime. You'll need an engine hoist, and a good ratchet set (air tools make it MUCH easier...)

You can find an auto H22, a full swap, for like $1800.

I would either try and work the price down or go somewhere else. That price seems a little bit high to me

Thats with my tranny and a JDM tranny computer. I may just blow my car up though. It's a peice. 2 weeks ago the drivers door locked itself permanately. Fixed that. Then my PS pump went out. Then last night my alternator died and now she sits in front of my house dead. Now instead of fixing all this bull shit I just want to put in the H22. Anybody know where I can find one for a good price. I'll do it my damn self if i have to. I just work 12+ hours a day. I do work in a small engine shop though and have many tools but no room to do it and no time really. Big fat catch 22.

things go wrong with cars. you either fix them and move on, or sit and complain.

if you think you have problems now with a relatively stock car, you may want to stay away from getting a swap.

personally, i'd get the swap for $3200, but then again, i wouldn't want to do the swap on my own.
