I think that's right... I haven't really researched the ratio drop but if I remember right H23A1 pistons have slightly less of a dish then F22Ax pistons...as well as a higher compression height...
I think the head cc's are about the same if I recall correctly... 50 for the H23A1 vs 50.5 for the F22ax...Last edited by ZigenBallZ; 02-22-2006, 06:04 PM.RIP Lifsatrip7

yup, the f22ax cylinder cc is 539.08 and the h23 is 564.75. also, the static compression on the h23(9.8:1) is higher than the f22/h23(9.2:1). dont really have any info about the piston dome or top or w/e u wana call em.Last edited by d112crzy; 02-22-2006, 05:53 PM.

im a little bit sketchy on this idea...ive been researching and thinking about this...but how could the H23 head work on the F22AX block, correct me if im wrong, but the F22AX has a 85mm bore size, where as the H23 is like 87mm....would that pose a threat?-RIP Eric Hall. Miss you brother-

Wow long time this thread has been up. I was curious on if it would be easier to do an f22b dohc head onto the f22 block, than trying to frank up the h23 setup. I mean if they will both do the same numbers than really all I would need is the f22b head, timing belt, ecu, and maybe an f22a6 intake manifold? Does this sound right or I am in way over my head?No longer working on the cb. To much time and money has been put into it. Check my for sale thread where the whole car will be parted out.

i think the f22b heads are easier to swap because of not having to fill in that one part of the headgasket.
but finding the f22b head is harder (for some reason)
anyone know which kind of distributor i need to use?
im suspecting the h23 one cuz of the dual cams?

But like I said, it still works, just not to its fullest potential, thats why when you do the f22/h23 you wont get 9.8:1 compression, if you bored out the sleeves to 87, im sure you would be alot closer to that ratio.
yea, the f22b head is harder to find because not only is it from japan, but most of the time people buy the full engine and keep the head. Only way to get one is if someone has fucked up their engine and parts it away.

Any internal or external coil H22A or H23A1 distibutor will fit perfectly...
Both my DOHC dizzys have been JDM H22A internal coil TD-60U... the ext coil dizzy is TD-61U...Last edited by ZigenBallZ; 10-09-2007, 08:33 PM.RIP Lifsatrip7

Just so I get this right.... Your useing 2 head gaskets. One for the F22 and one for the H23???
Other then that, everything else bolted right up? The EXH fit right and everything?Last edited by 4thgenaccord; 03-26-2006, 01:16 AM.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
