I have a H23 motor at the shop that threw a rod, but the head is in great shape. Could I just use everything from it?
yeah, pull the dizzy off it, timing gear, head studs and your good to roll....stock internals are good for 7200RPM, this swap really is simple to do if you know your way around a honda motor and have ever taken a head off before....if your a skilled mechanic like most of us on here u can probably do this swap in a day if u have all your parts at your finger tips + tools.....however is a good weekand project..
^^ Well, I have the skills and tools, but since I'll be doign it at the shop I work at I'l have to do it on my off time. about 2 hrs a day I get off at 3 everyday but they dont close till 5 so.
lol.. hey hey hey.. meany.. yeah i blew it up.. but i blame the 220k block.. lol..couldnt handle the revs... or being held a 4k from that h22a tranny on the highway.. GOSH...
