10th Anniversary CB7 Auto to 5 Spd Axel?

I have a 10th anniv CB7 and want to do the 5 speed swap but for the axle, iirc there was no oem 5 speed with ABS, as that was a feature only for the 10th edition cb7s. Or did the EX have ABS as well? I was wondering if it mattered if i put a normal 5 speed axel on my cb7 even tho it has abs. I've been getting various yes or no answers so I would like to hear it from you guys. Thanks!

Some Ex came with ABS. You should buy the axle that has the teeth for the ABS. Eric the car guy did an axle swap on an accord an said that you should put the axle that is for abs on a car that has abs or not. Its a better axle.

10th AE aren't the only ones with ABS. EX 9293 do too. Not sure about 9091. And yes you need the axle with the ABS ring

Simple breakdown of what has ABS

All 1992-1993 EX/EX-R's have ABS, these come in automatic or manual
All 1991/1993 SE's have ABS, these only come in automatic
All 1993 10th Anniversary editions have ABS, these are obviously only automatic
Some canadian 1990-1991 EX-R's came with ABS, they came with an extra badge that said " ALB " on it for anti lock brakes, alb models were all automatic.

So go to advance auto and say you have a 1992-1993 honda accord EX manual and buy the lext axle for it, all right side axles are the same automatic to manuals.

You can use a non ABS axle on an ABS car but you will get an ABS light since the tone ring is missing.

I think u meant auto? Especially for the 10th. I found this axle on rock auto that says with or without abs. Part # 664071

Take the ring off of your old axle and install it on the new axle. Thats what I did when the auto parts store did not have the axle with ABS.

That's the only difference for abs? Is that there's a lil ring?

Yes. Be careful when removing the ring. You dont want to break it. Gently slide it off using a hammer amd screwdriver.
