    Do H23 and F22 parts interchange?

    i found a h23 in a junkyard today and the bottom end is toast. Due to the engine knocking a hole in the block. But the head, intake mani, and other things are still good. Is there anything I can swap to a f22a6 that would be an upgrade?

    The plenum and throttle body.

      Marginally correct. Entire intake manifold, exhaust manifold, tranny, shifter are all able to be installed on the CB7.

        He has the F22a6 so swapping the entire manifold would be a waste of money. Getting the plenum and throttle body would be the most cost effective.

        I would think the better exhaust upgrade would be an F22A4 exhaust. Aren't both the H23 and the A6 cast manifolds?

        The difference in transmissions will ultimately depend on your end goal and what you're looking for, going for an all motor car I would pick the H23 transmission, Boosting I would go for the F22a6 transmission. If you just want a little more pep then grab the H23, if you want more fuel economy stick with the F22 transmission (We're talking 1 mpg maybe 2 depending on the average speed you typically travel)

        USDM F22A4/A6 90-93 ACCORD EX COUPE/SEDAN:
        Diff Type & Tranny Codes:
        STD Only = H2U5

        1.809 2
        1.185 3
        0.870 4
        0.685 5
        4.062 final

        5th gear 195/60 R15
        70mph = 2703 rpm
        80mph = 3090 rpm

        USDM H23A1 92-96 PRELUDE Si COUPE:
        Diff Type & Tranny Codes:
        STD Only = M2S4

        3.307 1
        1.857 2
        1.320 3
        1.034 4
        0.812 5
        4.266 final

        5th gear 195/60 R15
        70mph = 3366 rpm
        80mph = 3847 rpm

        How can you be certain the shifter is an upgrade? He never did say what car this H23 was in, can't assume it's in a Prelude.
