    my H22 swap

I completed my H22 swap on Friday. like so many others my motor has a little story and received stage 1 of the 2 stage build. I acquired H22a4 free of charge. my buddy's brother attempted to do timing belt on his 01 Prelude and afterwards the crank bolt came out destroying the key way slightly damaging the threads inside the crank and crank bolt. he bought a new long block and after installing it it still didn't run right make a long story short he didn't clean the intake manifold gasket material off so in return for me fixing that problem he gave me his old engine. I disassemble the entire engine finding two bad exhaust valves. So I repaired the threads in the crank and bolt. The bottom end received Type S pistons, crank and rods bearings, all gaskets and seals. all of the valves in the head leaked, all of the exhaust valves were bent!! total bummer but a coworker donate it an entire set of exhaust valves from his sons H 22 head that was no longer in use I cleaned in lapped all the valves leak tested them and to my surprise they all sealed.all gaskets and seals were also replaced. I picked up a ten pound flywheel, clutch, prelude shifter assembly, jdm p13 ecu,I also got a Usdm p13 chipped I ported the intake and exhaust ports. I picked up a distributor, power steering, pump power steering bracket, legend lip, legend hood shocks, all amber corners from the local pick a part. snagged the power steering line off of ebay from a junk yard in North Carolina. ebay special header
Im using a blue F20B valve cover I got from getting a free f20B head from a guy at work . reusing stock transmission. I had to replace the original aluminum oil pan with a OE M steel pan due to a giant crack someone tried to JB weld. I did the manual tensioner conversion on the engine. the engine runs strong and pull like a freight train. Stage 2 Will consist of hi tech style header, blacktrax intake manifold, type s cams, LSD Trans, k teller exhaust piping, Rsx type s muffler,skunk2 throttle body, innovative mounts, aluminum radiator, mishimoto thermostat and fan switch, silicon hoses

Im only going to do this once for you and try to fix out what your typing this made my eyes hurt really bad. Here is what you typed out. Btw you never mentioned which stock transmission you were using.

So you're buying a knockoff header... a copy of a brand you can't even spell. Nice.

I just hate people buying knockoff parts, especially headers. It's people that support the knockoff artists that are killing what little aftermarket we have left.

To support local aftermarket doesn't mean you have to buy a Bisi unit though.

Why support someone who buys their materials from China? There has also been some shipping documentation surface that show a couple batches of his manifolds were fabricated in China as well. Myself, I'll support someone who supports the local industry.

He charges local industry rates but uses cheaper labour & materials.

Sorry about the cap lock.I'm gonna buy the products that give me the most for my money I don't really care whos name is on it. Im not some kid riding around with my hood off so everyone can see what I got. It's not how much you spend its what you spend it on. I have less than a grand in my swap and its as quiet 2013 accord and runs spider monkey on mountain dew. I'm proud built by me and not everyone can do that.

Bisi's H22 header isn't among the best on the market. There are better, for the same price. F22A, he's got it down. H22A, independent results have shown that it's not great.

I'm not saying don't buy a knockoff header because I don't like them. I'm saying don't support companies that are killing our aftermarket just to make a quick buck.
Then again, I guess I have a different perspective. I'm concerned about keeping the CB7 community itself alive, with worthwhile parts available to us. You, like most people, are only concerned about your own car. Who cares if the CB7's aftermarket dies completely? You'll have your car built as you want it by then, surely.
