I dropped a 92 F22a6 into my 90 accord. Im using the pt6 from a automatic. My tach doesnt work until 4 grand. Anything under and tach is dead. I read that when coming to a stop the ecu will be searching for a load and the idle will drop in stages. Which its doing. I was curious if anyone with this type of swap is having the same tach issue? I will be ordering a manual Pt6 ecu in future.

I did a auto to five speed swap on my cb and I am still running the auto ecu with no issue.

I am still confused about the whole different tunes on an auto vs manual ecu thing.
It just doesnt make sense to me. I man Honda would have some method not having a really bad idle while you are in neutral in an auto, just like you would be in a manual. I man if you drive an auto and pop your ebrake on and throw it in neutral does your idle get messed up?
I would think not. Also putting different fuel maps and most of the ignition table should be the same. Even if the auto shifts earlier it doesn't mean the engine map would need to be any different
Base idle on the auto may be set a bit higher, but the iacv should be the thing accounting for the load and adjusting. To my knowledge there is not seperate idle routene that looks for a load in civic ecu, they use the iavc, and eld to adjust for changing conditions.
The only thing similar to that routene would be one in Neptune which changes the iacv duty cycle for ac turn on. They could use something similar to this, but I would think it would be in both civic and accord ecu. I will ask over on ht tuning, but I don't think it is
Lol told you I was starting issues on the forum today

Shut up. you have a h22, rosko racing euro r IM, bisi header, and a custom tune on e85. your babble is pointless in this thread. go away.Originally posted by Mishakol129Do not disrespect my intelligence. I am the smartest person I know : )

Now that ive cleaned up my mess by posting the same thread in two sections. My bad! I do have a considerable power loss and mpg sucks!. With the tach. issue, it wasnt there on either of my cars before the swaps. It had happened after swapping. That is why I had asked if anyone else had same issue. The only differences are pt6 ecu in a manual and I used a internal coil dizzy that matches with the 90 accord engine wire harness. Now my mph guage works fine. The tach stays at 0 till I hit about 4000rpm then jumps to that and climbs with no issues. The only reason i had revd that high was to see if the tach would move at all. The dizzy is about a year old. I will trace down some wires and see if maybe a ground issue?

But seriously I would be surprised if there was a difference, but I am often surprised
People are digging into the stock maps so maybe we will find out someday.
Jason, do you still have your auto? I want to dyno it with both to prove you wrong!
